My present planetary research concentrates in three main areas; 1) Comparative planetary mineralogy involving trace elements, by SXRF, of sulfides in lunar and martian basalts; 2) Phosphate assemblages in martian basalts as recorders of late stage oxygen fugacity and volatile content; and 3) Minor and trace elements in olivine to define magma chamber processes and cooling rates of lunar and martian basaltic melts. My major analytical tools for high spatial resolution analyses include EMP, SIMS, SXRF, and micro XANES.
